Saturday, January 27, will be the day we plant and maintain the community blueberry bushes.

Last January, we planted six blueberry patches throughout Forest Heights, bringing the neighborhood total to 15 patches and more than 100 bushes. Now it’s time to plant some more!

We planted five new blueberry patches in Forest Heights!

Last January, we planted nine blueberry patches throughout Forest Heights. Nearly a year later, all but one or two of the bushes are alive and well. Now it’s time to plant some more!

Eighteen volunteers pitched in last weekend to help plant 48 community blueberry bushes in Forest Heights. Combined with 23 bushes planted in Newtown, the project resulted in a total of 71 bushes and dozens of new community connections.

We’re organizing to plant nine blueberry patches around Forest Heights on the weekend of February 6-7.

Community blueberry sites have been flagged and mapped.

The donation phase ended on November 30 with a total of $870 dollars raised in Forest Heights and $425 in Newtown.
