2024 Festival Wrap-up and Slideshow

The 2024 Forest Heights Blueberry Festival was another big success, raising nearly $4,000 for the Community Blueberry Project.
Congratulations to the winners of the Blueberry Cook-off!
Jane Kobres – Most Unusual
Hind Azami – Most Delicious
Wilma Pittard – Best Presentation
Fatma Gurel – Best Overall
Thank you to all the volunteers who made the festival possible, and to Athens Land Trust, BikeAthens and Oglethorpe Garage for their partnerships.
Thank you to photographers Richard Hamm, Owen Anderson and Lucille King for sharing the images in the slideshow above. More images of the BikeAthens Blueberry Rally are up at Richard Hamm Media.
The Regenerators.Earth art exhibition will remain up at Oglethorpe Garage through the beginning of July, and 10% of proceeds will go to the Community Blueberry Project. In addition, Oglethorpe Garage has lots more commemorative festival pint glasses and coozies. Swing by to pick a couple up, if you haven’t already.
Lastly, please come out this winter for our annual blueberry planting and maintenance day. It’s a lot of fun, and the work is easy if there are enough hands to help.
See you around!
